Sacred Meals (#2): Guess Who's Coming to Dinner :: Donnell Wyche :: August 19, 2007 :: http://www.annarborvineyard.org/
This meal, this sacred meal is a celebration of the victory Christ won for us on the cross. It's a pronouncement of our freedom from death, sin, evil, and destruction. As we celebrate this meal, we share in the life that was awarded to us, but our failure to see that excluding the poor from the table is tantamount to evoking again the death that Christ defeated on the cross.

Sacred Meals (#1): The Ultimate Happy Ones :: Ken Wilson :: August 12, 2007 :: http://www.annarborvineyard.org/
The message of this meal is not: be careful who you share it with! The message of this meal is: "Unless you are willing to share yourself with others as I freely share myself with you today, you're participating in the wrong story, not the love story of God and Humanity."

Conspiracy of Kindness #3: Good News for the Poor :: Don Bromley :: August 5, 2007 :: http://www.annarborvineyard.org/
In the Old Testament, the number seven was considered to be a kind of divine number. Every seventh day was to be sacred to God-a Sabbath Day. Every seventh year was to be a "Sabbath Year" a sabbatical year-in which the land was to rest. It was an expression of God's concern for his creation and of God's concern for the poor.
